Getting here from Concord

Ygnacio Valley Road is the whole route for most of Concord — take it southwest past Cowell Road and Oak Grove, continue into Walnut Creek, and turn onto San Miguel Drive near John Muir Medical Center. From Todos Santos Plaza or downtown, Clayton Road to Ygnacio Valley Road is the fastest connection; from the north side, take I-680 south to the Ygnacio Valley Road exit. Free parking at the building means no meters and no garage.

How do I get to your office from Concord?

Ygnacio Valley Road southwest is a single road from most of Concord straight to us — no freeway needed. From the north side of the city, I-680 south to the Ygnacio Valley Road exit is faster.

Do you accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal)?

Yes. We accept Medi-Cal Dental along with Delta Dental and most major PPO plans. If you're unsure whether your child's coverage applies, call us at (925) 949-8427 and we'll check before you come in.

My child has never been to a dentist and is nervous. How do you handle a first visit?

Slowly. A first visit for an anxious child is largely about familiarity — seeing the room, meeting the team, and getting comfortable before anything happens. We move at your child's pace and don't force an exam that isn't going well. Many children who start out frightened are fine by the second or third appointment.

Can you treat cavities in very young children?

Yes, and early childhood decay is something we see often. Treating it in a two- or three-year-old takes a different approach than it does in an older child, which is exactly what a pediatric specialty practice with on-site anesthesia is set up for. We'll assess how extensive it is and give you honest options.
