Serving the East Bay

Pediatric Dentist Serving Alamo, CA

A short 10-minute drive from Alamo to our Walnut Creek office.

Alamo is one of the closest communities to our office, and it shows in our schedule — families from Round Hill, Westside, and the Stone Valley corridor are here most days of the week. Tooth + Tongue is a pediatric specialty practice with a dental anesthesiologist on staff, which matters most in the situations parents dread: a toddler with extensive decay, a child who can't sit through treatment, or a kid with medical complexity that a general office would rather not take on. The drive up I-680 is short enough that a routine cleaning barely disrupts the day.

Sealants, fluoride and habit coaching to avoid treatment later.

Getting here from Alamo

Take I-680 north from Stone Valley Road or Livorna Road and exit at Ygnacio Valley Road, about four minutes up the freeway. Turn east, then right onto San Miguel Drive — we're near John Muir Medical Center. If you're coming from Alamo Oaks or the Westside neighborhoods, Danville Boulevard north into Walnut Creek and across to Ygnacio Valley Road works just as well and skips the freeway entirely. Parking is free on site.
Neighborhoods we see most

Round Hill, Westside Alamo, Alamo Oaks, Alamo Plaza, Livorna Park, Hap Magee Ranch Park, and families near Rancho Romero Elementary, Stone Valley Middle and the Iron Horse Trail.

Alamo families make up one of the largest groups in our practice, partly because of the drive and partly because parents here tend to look for a specialist rather than a general office when it comes to their kids. We see siblings on back-to-back appointments, we see teens for orthodontic evaluation, and we see infants whose parents want a dental home established early.

Alamo parents ask us

Yes. Danville Boulevard north into Walnut Creek connects to Ygnacio Valley Road without ever touching I-680, and it's only a couple of minutes longer. Many Alamo parents prefer it in the late afternoon when the freeway backs up.

We do this constantly for Alamo families. Let us know when you book and we'll block consecutive appointments so you're making one trip instead of three. Younger siblings often do better going second, after they've watched an older sibling go first.

Usually not. Because we have a dental anesthesiologist on site, treatment that would otherwise be referred to a hospital operating room can often be completed here in a single visit. We'll review your child's medical history and walk you through exactly what the day looks like before anything is scheduled.

We work with Delta Dental, Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal), and most major PPO plans. If you're not sure how your plan applies, call us at (925) 949-8427 with your card and we'll verify your benefits before the appointment.
