Getting here from Lafayette

From downtown Lafayette, take Mt. Diablo Boulevard east or hop on Highway 24 for two exits, then merge onto I-680 north and exit at Ygnacio Valley Road. Head east and turn onto San Miguel Drive — we're just past John Muir Medical Center. Coming from Happy Valley or Reliez Valley, Pleasant Hill Road south to Mt. Diablo Boulevard is usually the faster line. Free parking is available in the lot, so you can get a stroller or car seat out without hunting for street space.

How long does it take to get to your office from Lafayette?

Most Lafayette families reach us in about 12 minutes. Highway 24 to I-680 north is the standard route, and the Ygnacio Valley Road exit puts you two turns from our door. Morning appointments and afternoons after 2 p.m. tend to be the smoothest for traffic.

My child gets anxious at the dentist. What's different here?

Quite a lot. We're a pediatric specialty practice, so the pacing, the language, and the room itself are designed for children. When anxiety or treatment needs go beyond what behavior guidance can handle, we have a dental anesthesiologist on site rather than referring your child out to a hospital in another city.

Can you see my child after school?

Yes. Late-afternoon slots fill first with families coming from Lafayette and Orinda, so book those a few weeks out. If you can manage a morning appointment, you'll usually get your pick of times and a shorter drive.

At what age should my child from Lafayette first see a dentist?
